This presentation introduces the OECD IT tools developed to support chemicals management. You will find a full description of each tool, how they fit in the general process of chemicals management, e.g. information gathering and information generation, risk assessment (hazard and exposure assessment) and risk management and how they facilitate retrieval and exchange of data within and between programmes and jurisdictions.

Interlinkage of tools developed to support chemical management 

In this increasingly electronic era, the IT systems and interlinkages offer large benefits to OECD member countries, as well as emerging and developing countries by: facilitating retrieval and exchange of data within and between programmes and jurisdictions which will increase the reuse of existing data and leverage power to create new information. This will avoid duplication of effort, promoting efficiencies and reducing barriers to trade.
