OECD Competition Trends

In 2018, the OECD launched an initiative to develop a database of general statistics relating to competition agencies, including data on enforcement and information on advocacy initiatives.

OECD Competition Trends supports informed policymaking and contributes to improving competition law and policy around the world by providing multi-year data on a large number of economic and legal indicators. Data is mainly presented as aggregate-level data, combining the data of a certain number of individual jurisdictions. The aggregate-level data includes an analysis (a) for all participating jurisdictions, (b) comparing OECD and non-OECD jurisdictions, and (c) per geographical region. Access below all reports to date.

The third edition of OECD Competition Trends covers key trends in competition authority resources, cartel enforcement, abuse of dominance cases, merger review and advocacy. The analysis is based on six years of data between 2015-20 for 73 OECD and non-OECD jurisdictions. The report also considers the potential impact of COVID-19 on competition enforcement trends, and includes a spotlight chapter on leniency.

OECD Competition Trends 2022 was launched on 23 February 2022 at the OECD Competition Open Day
