Scams and Fraudulent Investment Schemes that Misuse the OECD Name

Individuals and businesses should take care not to fall victim to investment scams, which falsely claim to be affiliated with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) or misuse the OECD name.

For example, a fraudulent scheme has surfaced on a website designed to look like a Cryptocurrency market and includes documentation falsely using the OECD brand and colouring. The site claims to sell crypto coins, one of which is named ‘OECD’.

This site is a scam and has no legitimate link to the OECD.

 

The OECD does not deal in crypto coins or in any other investment scheme.
