Quality infrastructure investment (QII) has been widely recognised as key to achieving sustainable, resilient and inclusive growth. Promoting global joint efforts for QII requires building a shared understanding of the concept among OECD, G20 and other economies.
The OECD Compendium of Policy Good Practices for Quality Infrastructure Investment comprises a set of integrated and multidisciplinary international good practices and measures that are relevant for both developed and developing countries in pursuing quality infrastructure investment. Its structure is closely aligned to the G20 Principles for Quality Infrastructure Investment, thereby contributing to their dissemination. The Compendium is also a key deliverable of the OECD Horizontal Project “Strategic Policies for Sustainable Infrastructure”.
Hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and co-organised with the OECD and the OECD Development Centre, this online Symposium took place in two sessions:
Session 1: Ministerial launch followed by a high-level dialogue on the importance of quality infrastructure investment and the role of the OECD Compendium as a policy guidance tool for countries.
Session 2: A public-private seminar on the promotion of the G20 Principles and of related good practices in developing countries.
