ZAMBIA, NOVEMBER 2017. The EU-Social Protection Systems Programme (EU-SPS) presented preliminary findings from its analytical work during the Zambia Social Protection Week. This event, which was held under the theme “Inclusive Sustainable Social Protection: Leaving No One Behind” took place from Monday 27th November to Friday 1st December 2017. It brought together Government, social partners, cooperating partners, civil society organizations, social security institutions, academia, faith based organizations, media and the general public to be informed, discuss and contribute to the development of Social Protection in Zambia. The EU-SPS presented its preliminary findings based on joint work with the ILO and the University of Zambia on an in-depth analysis of informal workers to support policy makers in extending social protection to informal workers.
